1. Turkey burger
Turkey burgers will help satisfy that primal craving for meat without getting weight. Ground turkey breast, compared to beef, has the same amount of protein but half the saturated fat.
Ingredients:
– 1 pound turkey breast
– 2 minced cloves garlic
– 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
– Cooking spray
– 4 English muffins
– 1 tablespoon mustard
– Lettuce leaves
– 2 sliced tomatoes
– 1 sliced avocado
Directions:
Using your hands, mix the turkey, garlic, parsley until combined. Divide into four equal portions and flatten each. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Cook for six minutes each side. Slice open muffins and spread mustard, turkey, lettuce, tomatoes and avocado and close. Enjoy.
2. Vege black beans burger
Spiced with chili sauce, cumin, garlic and chili powder, these black bean burgers are a tasty and healthy vegetarian alternative to beefburgers, and very easy to make.
Ingredients:
– (400g) drained black beans
– 1 tablespoon chili powder
– 1/2 green pepper
– 1/2 onion, halved
– 3 cloves garlic
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
– 1 tablespoon cumin
– 50g dried breadcrumbs
Directions:
In a bowl, put beans and mash with a fork until it becomes pasty. Put in a food processor pepper, onion, and garlic and stir into mashed beans. Put cumin, egg, pepper sauce, chili powder in other bowl and stir, then put that mixture together with mashed beans. Mix in breadcrumbs and divide into four parts. Take those parts and put them on a baking sheet, and bake on each side, for about 10 minutes max.
3. Half-veggie burger
The lean protein of lentils lightens up these burgers, and they’ll be tastier when you add the vegetables.
Ingredients:
– 3 cups of lentils (cooked)
– 1 cup chopped bell pepper
– 1 pound ground beef
– Pepper
– 8 burger buns
– 1 egg
– Salt
– Condiments
– Sliced vegetables
Directions:
With a spoon, mash lentils in a bowl. Add bell pepper, egg, and ground beef and mix with hands. Season with salt and pepper and form into 8 patties. Heat a skillet over medium-high and add patties and sear for 5 minutes each side. Serve burgers on buns with your favorite vegetables.
4. Turkey Caribbean burger

Ingredients:
For the salsa:
– 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
– 1 chopped mango
– 1 tablespoon jalapeno pepper (chopped)

– 1 tablespoon orange juice
For the burger:
– 1 pound ground turkey
– 1/3 cup crushed pineapple
– 2 tablespoons green chopped onion
– 4 hamburger rolls
– Lettuce
Directions:
For the Salsa: In small bowl mix all ingredient and set aside. Mix turkey, pineapple, onion and parsley in large bowl. Shape into 4 patties. Grill burgers over medium heat for 6 minutes on each side. Serve on rolls topped with lettuce and Salsa.
