Dips are one of my favorite meals. You can’t go wrong with dips at breakfast, lunch or dinner. They are super easy to make and super-healthy. They are also great party food- a party isn’t a party without dips! Also, these dip recipes are vegan and guilt –free!
1. Spicy pea dip
This delicious pea dip is sure to impress all your guests. Peas are healthy food and loaded with important nutrients. They are a good source of vitamin K, high in protein and fiber, and low in fat.
Ingredients:
½ red chili seeds removed, finely chopped
1/3 tsp. ground coriander
1 garlic clove
2 cups peas, canned, drained
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Put the garlic, chili, coriander, peas and lemon juice in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy your meal.
2. Lentil dip
Your whole family will love this easy to make lentil dip. Lentils are rich in dietary fiber, vitamin A and B- complex vitamins.
Ingredients:
2 cups lentils, rinsed and drained
1 green onion, chopped
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. fresh lime juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth. Done!
3. Easy tomato and chili dip
This delicious dip is sure to please even the pickiest eaters. This dip is packed with protein and fiber that will keep you satiated for longer.
Ingredients:
2 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup tomato salsa
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 tbsp. lemon juice
½ chili pepper, chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil
Instructions:
In a blender or food processor, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth.Done!
4. Pea avocado dip
This dip takes only 5 minutes to make. You can serve it with graham crackers or vegetables.
Ingredients:
1 avocado, peeled, pitted
1 chili pepper
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
1 chopped tomato
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. cilantro, fresh, chopped
2 cloves garlic
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a food processor and process until well incorporated. Serve and enjoy.
5. Mediterranean dip
This Mediterranean dip is so simple, yet so delicious. Also, this recipe is low in calories and you can make it in under 5 minutes.
Ingredients:
1 cup olives
2 tbsp. capers
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instruction:
In a food processor, add the olive oil, lemon juice, olives, capers and garlic – mix until well mixed. Serve with crackers or chips.
6. Green pistachio dip
This brightly colored green dip makes a great addition to any party. Besides being delicious, pistachios have many healing properties.
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
2 tbsp. cilantro, fresh, chopped
3 tbsp. shelled pistachios
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/3 tsp. chili powder
3 tbsp. lime juice
5 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. olive oil
Instructions:
In a food processor or blender, add the olive oil, water, lime juice, chili powder, pistachios, cilantro and peas and process until smooth. Serve and enjoy.
