Your morning routine can set up your mood and define your day, for good or bad. Here are 7 tips which will help you to establish a healthier morning routine and help you on the path of having a good day every time you wake up.
1. Stick to your plan
It is very important to have a morning routine and to follow it throughout your schedule. No matter what you do in the morning it is always good to have a routine you’ve planned out because you can save a lot of time. Each day, do the same things in the same order. Try out your morning routine for several days and see what is best for you.
2. Wake up earlier
This is one of the most important things because if you want to have a great morning, you have to have some extra time compared to your current routine. In case you used to the quiet and peace which night affords, you will be also satisfied by the same quiet and peace which provides early morning. This is just a matter of shifting your personal time to the morning hours, rather than late at night. It is a noticeable difference to your body.
3. Scrape your tongue
One of the morning routine you won’t give up once you try is scraping your tongue. It is a part of the rejuvenation process which you need to do in order to make the transition from sleep to wakefulness, and also to get rid of morning breath each day. In addition, you will be able to taste food better without the film which is on the tongue even after you’ve brushed your teeth.
4. Drink a glass of warm lemon water
One of the great ways to get your body going is to drink a glass of warm water with lemon every morning. This will work as a lubricant for all of your different internal systems. Make sure that water is warm because you don’t want to shock your system first thing in the morning. The lemon will make the water tastier and help get your digestive system ready for the meals. In case you can to cut down on some of the tartness, you can add a little bit of honey to it as well.
5. Do a stretching
Do a stretching for a few minutes in the morning to wake up and get ready your muscles for the day ahead. Find a workout and modify it to your own abilities. If you are trying to lose weight or if you feel inclined, you can also use this time to do an exercise routine or a yoga routine. We recommend to start off with just a simple stretching routine until it becomes a habit, in case you don’t exercise regularly. After some time, you can switch to some exercises or yoga when you start to feel like you can do more than stretching.
6. Eat a healthy breakfast
It is of the essence to eat a good breakfast as a part of a morning routine. If you skip breakfast, your body will try to conserve energy. Then your metabolism will slow down and during the rest of the day, you will have less energy. Even though some people need more calories for breakfast compared to others, the most important thing to remember is that everybody has to eat something. Yogurt and berries, oatmeal sprinkled with almonds and cinnamon, and a cup of tea is an example of a healthy breakfast.
7. Take a walk
Walking is a great component of a good morning routine. There is wonderful vital energy which we can get. We get a little bit of vitamin D, which can help fight heart disease and cancer, and it is important for bone health and the immune system. The plans give off an oxygen. In addition, one more benefit of getting the sunshine is that sunlight can help regulate the pineal gland, that releases melatonin and helps you to sleep better during the night.
